The OSX Network (OSXN) was developed for people working or studying online safety to share knowledge, initiate projects, and discuss relevant matters amongst other things.
Any person, from any sector or organisation that works in online safety or has online safety responsibilities or is studying with the intent to work in the industry is welcome to join and participate.
Within the OSX Network, it is assumed members are interacting as individuals and any opinions expressed are personal unless otherwise stated. Members must agree to abide by the following Terms & Conditions:
- Etiquette: Given the industry we work, we all know the sorts of behaviours and experiences that make online spaces unsafe and uncivil. Clearly, we don’t do those things here. Diverse opinions and passionate discussions are welcome, but they need to happen respectfully.
- Real Identity: All members are to register using their real name.
- Sharing and confidentiality: The OSX Network is a trusted space for open conversation. The overall approach for OSX Network’s members is follow Chatham House Rule – but different spaces within the OSXN can have different expectations of confidentiality. If you are unsure about what can be shared more widely than the OSX Network, please check with the post initiator first.
- Reporting bad behaviour: If you experience or witness any behaviour that isn’t appropriate for this community, please flag it using the Report Post or Report Member tools. All reports will be kept confidential.
- Membership not endorsement: Membership of the OSX Network is not an endorsement of, or by the Online Safety Exchange or partners of the Online Safety Exchange, and should be promoted as such.
- Consequences: The Online Safety Exchange team reserve the right to take appropriate action to ensure the OSX Network remains civil and productive. This includes banning members and deleting content.
